Historical Information

During the early 1970s, filming of some scenes for the movie "Shout at the Devil" took place on Long Beach, Agate Terrace. While most of the main actors stayed at the Cape Hermes Hotel on 1st Beach, Lee Marvin refused to stay on 1st beach and requested the producers to find the owner of the A-Frame house as he loved the look of it.

Management traced the house to then President Matanzima' wife, who agreed to rent it to production for the duration of their stay in PSJ.

Lee Marvin and Roger Moore had many parties in this house. In 2020, the current owners, Tony and Ursula, purchased the cottage.
